(NCC Programme: Vision, Mission and Initiatives)

National Cadet Corps (NCC) is the largest Indian youth development organization in the world, which aims to develop qualities such as leadership, character, brotherhood, discipline, secular outlook and spirit of adventure in the students enrolled in it under unity and discipline. This organization works in 17 directorates all over India and one of its major regions is Bihar and Jharkhand Directorate, headquartered in Patna, (Bihar). This region plays a vital role in various activities of NCC like training, social welfare initiatives, leadership development and community engagement etc. Various programmes are organised from time to time by the NCC Coy under the direction of Group Headquarters Muzaffarpur and 8 Bihar Battalion NCC, Darbhanga, (Bihar).

2/8 Coy C.M. College (Arts & Commerce), Quilaghat, Darbhanga (Bihar) India has a total of 160 seats (Reservation prescribed by the government). Only those students can take enrolled here who are studying in B.A. 1ST Sem. Or 2ND Sem. Or Class 11th. Out of the total vacancies, 35% seats are reserved for girls, whereas in other colleges, if seats are vacant, then admission is taken only on 10% of the total vacancies. Here admission is taken for N.C.C. ‘B’ and ‘C’ certificate and this course is of 3 years. This admission is taken by 8 Bihar Battalion N.C.C., Darbhanga through Medical, Written, Physical and Interview Or as per the rules as per the order of the Directorate.

  • To prepare a cadre of disciplined, motivated and dedicated youth who are capable of contributing to the security and development of the nation.
  • To develop qualities of leadership, patriotism and social responsibility in young citizens and prepare them for a productive and successful life while promoting a sense of national pride and unity.

  • To train and inspire the youth of India to become responsible, disciplined and motivated citizens imbued with the spirit of patriotism and national service.
  • To enhance physical fitness and character development along with inculcating the values of leadership, teamwork and self-reliance.
  • To contribute towards the security of the nation, social development and national integration etc.
